Two-ply torch-welded elastomer membrane is the most widespread and proven solution for flat and low-slope roofs in Quebec. Invented in Europe and refined over forty-plus years in our climate, it's earned its place through exceptional durability, its ability to handle building movement, and its excellent resistance to weather and UV.
The system is built from two distinct layers: a base membrane, welded directly to the insulation or the deck, and a cap membrane with a granular surface (granules protect the membrane from UV). The seams of the two layers are offset by roughly 50%, eliminating any potential weak point.

Elastomer, as the name suggests, has serious elongation capacity. When a building contracts at -30°C in January and expands at +30°C in July, the membrane follows the movement without cracking — unlike rigid coverings that eventually crack from all those freeze-thaw cycles.
